Hello, new year…

I guess we’ve been spending too much time with out new friend Myspace…sorry for the delay in updates….we do get your mail and respond lickity split…or so. Been finishing up the album at Pueblo Sounds in Thousand Oaks and also in Silverlake. The sessions have been fun- I was allowed to be a fly on the wall and even shake a tambourine…when I didnt’ go get coffee. Sioux has A WHOLE BUNCH of placements coming up: DRILLBIT TAYLOR, the new Owen Wilson film, features “Let’s Play Two” a song she wrote with Jesse Valenzuela of the Gin Blossoms, and her new single ‘SCREWED UP’ will be featured in THE HEARTBREAK KID- the Ben Stiller comedy from the Farrelly Brothers. That’s out in October. Susan has been working on this animated rock musical of the most snarky kind, thus the delay in her solo project. It’s all coming out the chute soon, and we can’t wait for you to listen. A big old pot full of rock is about to come to a boil. That sounds weird.

Solo album out soon! Until that happy day, you can hear the sounds of Sioux by watching the DVD of FOX’s “PEPPER DENNIS” -the rebecca romijn show from last season. Susan has 4 placements in that first season alone . Right now she’s gettting a string quartet ready for work in the Silverlake studio (L.A.) which is going to be really amazing……Also, Susan’s busy making friends with ancient icon Phyliis Diller. If only we knew how to post pictures. Hey, she was a concert pianist, along with being a legendary comic. Not bad!

The Gin Blossoms album, MAJOR LODGE VICTORY, is out! The new single LONG TIME GONE, co-written by Sioux, was most added last week on the Triple A format! They will be doing the in-studio appearance at STAR 98.7 in LA on November 2. for more updates, check out their myspace page…and Susan’s MySpace page and get lost in the magic.

Oh, June is busting out all over..or is it bursting out? Sioux is keeping busy. Here new solo album, the great untitled, was recorded in four days last month- all live, kicking it old school as they say…..just with the exception of a few sounds to be sprinkled here and there,(okay, a bit more than that) it should be finished soon. Gary Mallaber on Drums, Nick Kirgo and Jesse Valenzuela on Guitars, Sheldon Gomberg on bass……very cool, very fun.

Hiya spring is here, and it is felt in sinus’ everywhere…things are great on The West Coast right now…what is new in the land of Sioux? She’s going into the studio week of May 8th to lay down the tracks, as they say in the music business, for the next solo album….so stick around long enough for the release of her next album…sometime after the release of her band “TRES DIABLOS” and before the next Winter Olympic Games.
“LETS PLAY TWO” The NEW single by the Gin Blossoms and co-written by lady Sandberg, will be released June 5th. So cool, sounds great, get down. Look for the album in JULY.

This has been a rocking month. Nashville was great!
Soon WE will have news on the songs Susan had remixed and remastered with Grammy award winning engineer JULIAN KING (Toby Keith, Tim Mc Graw, Faith Hill) of LOUD studios in Nashville. I was able to git a writing session as well, wrote two new songs; EVERY SHADE OF BLUE and ANOTHER FINE MESS with Hal Ketchum. Great Town. Everything is in the shape of a guitar so of course Susan was in Heavan.
TRES DIABLOS’ GREATEST HITS VOL. ONE will be released start of the summer, or so we hope…Danny Wilde (Rembrandts) Jesse Valenzuela and SGS can only get together every other last Wednesday of the month, maybe….. but they’re cooking now so we’ll see when the magic will be ready. -Longer time, not my bad (This time). Sioux/Susan/ComputerMoron has been doing more writing for others, with 5- count ‘em- FIVE co-writes on the upcoming GIN BLOSSOMS album, which is scheduled to be released this Spring. Will keep you posted. She is also gearing up for some acoustic shows (complete with special guests) around LA in preparation for her NEXT SOLO ALBUM. Check out the LA Weekly. Or MAYBE even here.

Hello! Long time, my bad. Susan’s been getting alot of emails wondering what is going on, so here you have it! Susan/Sioux has been writing alot for other artists these days, her song “Let’s Play Two”’ co-written with Jesse Valenzuela of The Gin Blossoms, will be their lead off single for The Gin Blossoms upcoming new album. And she and Jesse and Danny Wilde (Rembrandts) have a new band, Tres Diablos, with an album coming out as soon as all of them are in thesame city for more than two weeks at a time— just a few more tracks to go and the album will be available on Itunes. Susan did a private party not too long ago with an international band- Dave Russ on Drums, Carlo the Roaming Roman on guitar and this bass player from who knows where- the west side, we think. She’ll be playing in L.A. soon- watch for dates! Now, get back to School.

Josie here- Susan’s underpaid web site lackey- Susan’s got a few good co-writes this year- ‘Mystery Train’ by the Stray Cats, (Yes, they are still ‘together’ in Japan and Europe), and ‘Let’s Play Two’ by the Gin Blossoms-their new album out in Spring. Susan’s new album will be out eventaully- mainly she’s concentrating on a new band she’s producing and co writing. BUT, Le Sioux will be performing in Rome for New Year’s Eve at a place called Sonta Somethin’…in trastevere. Exciting! Have a Happy New Year, everyone.

It’s been awhile. Too long. …..apparently Susan’s been busy touring, writing, traveling, unpacking. Hiya, Hope you can catch “MILE HIGH” on NBC’s “Leap of Faith” this April 4. I’m all over a nice town car. Musically speaking. Off to Rome next week to do some writing (huh? It’s true), but we hope to figure out this web stuff waaaayy over there and stay in touch. Alot of you have been e-mailing saying you’re coming to Paris to see the shows, and frankly, ya’ll need to come to Paris whether to see me or someone else! KEWL!

Susan is gearing up for the WOMEN IN ROCK show down in Austin Texas during this year’s SXSW music conference. The show is Saturday, March 16 at the Lucky Lounge. Sioux goes on at 8pm…it’s an acoustic gig with Dandy David J. Russ on the cocktail kit. Mr. Russ will be accompanying Sioux and the rest of her band when they play ELEVEN NIGHTS in Paris this May. Yes, just like Jerry Is he still on TV during Labor Day? Lewis, the French love American Artistic Genius. Well, we love Parisians and are grateful for the amazing support the album is getting over there. More shows England the week of May 26th! Susan’s been recording some groovy kick a** demos for the next record, yet admittedly, the most fun is creating the album title— She and her band have been coming up quite a few choice cuts for the future release. WILL POST AN MP3 SOON. THEY ARE SO GREAT SOUNDING!

Susan was just offered an eleven night stand at this club in Paris, so faster than you can say That Moulin Rouge was quite an artful movie, don’t you agree, Lil’ Kim?, Sioux and her band agreed to commit to the dates, (May 14–25th), with a European tour being worked around it as we write this. More details in the LIVE section! Also, Sioux’s been working with the Director of the latest Adam Sandler comedy for songs in his upcoming Summer release, DEEDS. Co-Star Winona Ryder’s character apparently has Sioux’s “Mile High” pumping through her stereo. Righteous. We’ll see!

So much has been going on! My, my….we here at Susan Sandberg Dot Com apologize for the delay in posting the comings and goings. Paris, Rome, Miami, and Van Nuys- Susan has played each of those cities this fall. She didn’t have a chance to see the Coliseum, the Sistine Chapel, or that building where the Pope lives, but boy is Prada inexpensive and the wine good. I’m sure we’ll post a picture soon when that nice cab driver returns her camera. First off, birds do it, bees do it, and you can do it too…Susan’s CD is available here for you to purchase….it’s also at Electric Fetus, Cheapo and Best Buy! For those of you outside of Minnesota, stay tuned to your nearest and dearest record store as it will be stocked there soon. Secondly, MILE HIGH, from DOWN COMES THE NIGHT has been featured in the foxy Pam Anderson show ‘VIP,’ and it will be repeated again in January, February and March. God Bless syndication.
